Fancy a Challenge… Game for a Laugh or Quite Simply Mad… thank
you for agreeing to join in the fun and jump 150ft free fall, at speeds
of up to 75mph, all in the name of Charity… on Sunday 7th and Monday
8th August SCAD Diving comes to The Keith Country Show, Seafield Park,
Keith.
What is SCAD Diving…
Quite Simply it's the newest most exhilarating mobile attraction in
the UK today! Everyone has done Bungee yet few have tried this…
SCAD Diving has a three times longer free drop than bungee plus greater
acceleration and speed!!
Dropped from over 150 feet up, completely without attachments, the diver experiences breathtaking acceleration and 100% free fall all the way down to the net. The Specially designed SCAD 'Suspended Catch Air Device' breaks the fall, gently slowing the diver to a standstill with virtually no impact!
SCAD Diving has a 100% Safety Record, the Controlled Free Fall System (CFF) guarantees a correct body position during the free fall to ensure a safe landing. The CFF System is the perfect way to enjoy the pure free fall feeling!
You accelerate to over 70mph in under half a second and although the actual drop of 100 feet only takes about 2½ seconds, it will be the longest 2½ seconds of your life!! Age is not really an important factor as the team have had people from 10 to 74 diving in the past however you must weigh between 7.8 and 23.6 stone.
To participate in the SCAD Dive you must not have any medical problems including Heart Conditions, High Blood Pressure, Back Ailments, Epilepsy or any other conditions, including pregnancy, which may impair your ability to safely take part in the SCAD Dive.
How to Register…
To complete the registration process for the dive simply:
1. Complete the attached form with your name, address and contact details.
2. Select a charity to donate your sponsorship money to.
3. Select a dive time from 9am to 5pm on Sunday 7th or Monday 8th August.
The times are every 20 min i.e. 9.00, 9.20, 9.40, 10.00….
4. Each dive time accommodates 5 individuals so if you want to dive
with your friends please detail their names as well.
5. Return the form along with a £10 registration fee to Lindsay
Robertson, The Keith Country Show, Seafield Park, Keith, AB55 5AJ. Please
make any cheques payable to "The Keith Country Show". This
secures your dive time and will be deducted from your required sponsorship
amount i.e. once paid you only require to raise £90.
6. Start raising sponsorship from friends and family, raise £90
or over and dive for FREE!!
On the Day…
Once registered you will receive a time to turn up on the day approx
15 mins before your dive time, this allows you to sign a waiver form,
complete any further administration regarding your sponsorship and to
get you kitted up in a harness and elbow pads.
You will then enter the cage, along with five other divers and the jump supervisor, at which point you will be hoisted to 150ft. The first diver is secured by a safety line to the release system and then lowered through the bottom of the cage… 3..2…1 Freefall 150ft at 75mph for 2.5 seconds!!! Once you have landed the SCAD will be lowered to the ground and the ground crew will help you back onto solid ground!!
