The North East's first Wheelie Bin Grand Prix is on a fast track to success… in the unlikely venue of Keith!!
The Keith Country Show had the wheelie good idea but reckoned everyone else would think it was rubbish! Now they have 'bin' overwhelmed by the interest to take part in the event.
The Wheelie Bin Grand Prix will take place at the Keith Country Show on Monday 8th August, teams from throughout Moray are welcome to enter, however places are limited so don't 'waste' any time in securing your place!
Teams must consist of two pushers and one driver, wheelies can be vertical or horizontal, may have brakes and steering but may not have a motor. For insurance and safety reasons only adults may compete within the Grand Prix.
A first prize of £150 is up for grabs and special prizes for the best decorated and best modification! The Moray Council Environmental Services Department have kindly agreed to provide the Wheelie Bins.
